Roy Janik
I just had an interesting conversation with a grain of salt.

Actually, with my boss.

He informed me that he's still committed to moving me over to development, which means that I'll be WRITING programs instead of TESTING them. The funny thing is, no one has bothered to tell him that I already became a developer about three weeks ago. The plan was to transition me slowly from test to development, by making me work on test stuff about 75% of the time. But, because the rest of the test team has my back (or because they're sick of me), I haven't been doing any test at all.

So now I'm just waiting on the rubber stamp that will make me a developer in the Big Scary Book of Life (patent pending). Wherever that may be.

At the start of things, I'm going to be doing some Perl development, which isn't ideal. But beggars can't be choosers, right?

Right.
