my lease is up on May 31st.
If I renew, rent will be going up from 698 to 765.
I think it's time to move.

I really want to live in a house, either by renting a room from some nice person, renting a house with a few other people, or actually buying a house of my own.

Anyone who doesn't mind two cats have a house with a spare room? One of the cats plays fetch, you know.

Geez. That's a huge rent hike. Ours was only $18, so we'll end up paying $760/month. Ugh. We want to move too, but then there's that whole thing about apartments in central Jersey costing an arm and a leg, and houses even more than that.
Again, I say, ugh.

Do you see Dandelo in the user pic I'm using here? I bet he'd love to live in Texas...I keep talking about that, but Chris isn't hearin' it. heh.

He and Joey the Lemur would have so much fun. I would throw the mouse. Joey would run and catch it, and on the way back Dandelo would kick his ass. Exercise for the whole family.

ah, Dandelo

I miss Dandelo and his typing prowess. And his blind-licking prowess. And his heft.

Sethe is waywayway too fat to fetch anymore. If we throw the mouse back and forth, she'll swat it so it hits the wall and dies, but she does this sitting in one central location.

I would like to meet this Mister the-Lemur. He sounds like a fun fellow.

Gasp.

You only pay -that much- in the Arboretum area? What complex do you live in? What size apartment?

Re: Gasp.

Are you surprised that it's so much, or that it's so cheap?

I live in High Oaks. It's a 772 square feet, 1 bedroom.

Re: Gasp.

Cheap. But then again, I guess the stuff along Jollyville is cheaper than the stuff along 360. It is along Jollyville, right?

Re: Gasp.

Yeah, it's along Jollyville. But it's still a skip from the Arboretum. The only benefit I really get out of the location is my proximity to an absurdly nice Randall's. Other than that, I go to Amy's every once in a while.

Re: Gasp.

I love going to that Randall's for a change of pace. It's so warehouse-y and reminds me, rather, of a nice Whole Foods or something.
