Thanks, Twilight! [Jun. 9th, 2001|02:53 pm]

Way back in February, twilight heartily recommended Sunflower as a great Vietnamese place to eat. In fact, she wrote quite the lengthy review of it.

Kareem and I finally went yesterday. Very good. The first thing I noticed was that the place smelled lovely. All spice and chicken and goodness. I had the Spicy Lemon Grass Chicken, and Kareem had the 5 Spice Chicken. Naturally we shared.

I imagine we'll be back soon.

So yeah.. thanks.

But what was the orange ice-cream looking drink that people had? i wanted one, but I had no idea what it was called.

You're more than welcome :).

I'm glad you liked it. The drink you speak of is actually a "Thai iced tea" - thai style tea with sweetened milk and cream. It's pretty sweet but refreshing and yummy. I always get one along with my water.

Yes, that's the word for Thai tea...though the kind I'm accustomed to from Asian restaurants is very very light on the anise/cloves...unlike *cough* Starbucks.

Thanks. I'm definitely going back soon and trying the vermicelli dishes. I forgot about the whole lunch menu thing.
