|Move on, nothing to see here.

Not much has been going on lately. Well, I suppose that's not strictly true. But nothing to write home about. And where the hell is home, anyways? Where the heart is? On a rocky boat somewhere in Kemah? In the 43rd of an arbitrary number of dwellings made for HU-mans by our robotic overlords? at Tivoli? in Yosemite, atop the falls? swimming at the gorge in Tuscaloosa? at a Pain show? at the Ren. Faire? |
Human Dwelling 43
I just got finished telling my friends that there was nothing to write home about, but I felt obligated to anyways. Isn't that always the way? So, before you go spouting off any questions, let me go ahead and field the ones I expect you to ask:
No, I don't have a new girlfriend.
No, I'm not dating anyone.
YES, I still like girls. Jeeze.
Yes, I'm doing okay.
Work is fine, except that I may get canned. Errr, forget I said that.
School is fine.
NO, we haven't had any breakthroughs on the dinosaur cloning thing. Earl, our operative on the moon, though, sends his love.
Speaking of Dinosaur Moonpark, I recently dusted off Tron again. Added some camera work, got it to work under DirectX 8, so that's fun. Also, I saw "The Score" and "Final Fantasy", both of which are "movies". The Score was forgettable, but I rather liked Final Fantasy. While the characters themselves were cookie-cutter, it was still refreshing to realize that this entirely computer animated flick was still driven by its plot.
ANYWAYS, the radio show's going well. Got some calls last Sunday, including one from a guy who said that NMCB "kicked Dr. Demento's butt". I don't know about that, but the compliment is appreciated. Kindof like saying that Silverchair is better than Nirvana. Although "Suicidal Dreams" is a fine song, and I respect Australia as one of my favorite 7 continents, it's not exactly a believable statement.
Also, it looks like the Knighthood of Buh is going to branch out into yet another medium. This time we're going to produce an audio CD. So we need a new name. I'm thinking of attaching the recently unearthed name of "Loose-footed Robots" to the effort.
Finally, I'm hosting the Elk-Mating Ritual Hour with Hek-tor tomorrow, as John Erler is on vacation, or something.
