recap, shall we?

Wednesday night, Mary from the station threw a dinner party. Lots of pasta, wine, veggies, little tort things, chicken, cucumber sandwiches, and good company. It was one of those conversation parties, where people "talk". I brought a bottle of wine, which really wasn't that good, but was hand selected for me by some snooty guy who knew a lot about wine. Josh Strong was there, as was Chad A. (host of the New Wave Zolo Coaster). I was wearing my sharkskin suit with accompanying dragonfly tie, so of course I had trouble keeping the ladies at bay.

Thursday I was in a weird mood, so I went back to work at night, stayed there all night, practiced my concertina, programmed, and reviewed CDs for KVRX. At one point I was typing up a review and I fell asleep. I awoke to find 7 pages of the letter K. I was really tempted to just print it all out and turn it in like that. Concertina practice went well, and I played through a new, sad, Irish tune.

Thursday bled into Friday, and I stuck around work till about 1:00pm. I then journeyed outward and onward to KVRX to return the CDs and help out with rotation. That was mostly uneventful. I went home, took an exceedingly long bath, and got stuff ready for the radio show. I burned the super secret Fatman track to CD, organized my shite, got dressed for the night, and headed out.

Mindy did the show with Wes and I, and she did an excellent job. She came off as very natural on the air, unlike my first dozen times or so DJing. Twas a good show I believe. We played up the secret Fatman track as something that was putting us all in danger of our lives, we sang my new smash reggae hit "Crazy Cat Party In Your Room", with Wes doing the back beat, and I played the concertina a bit. What more could one ask for?

Friday night was Riley's and Guinness and PubCrawler, and hanging-out-with-friends goodness.
