HD-43 is back online, with an ultra-sleek cable modem, which is actually rather ugly.
Reckon I should head back to work now.

Yup, sure is. The old one was one of the first batch, back when Time Warner was still wasting money on affixing an actual RoadRunner logo onto the modem. This time around, they just handed me an unopened 3-COM box. The geek in me also thinks it's swell that it's got built-in USB support, meaning that if I didn't have an ethernet card (or a router), I wouldn't need one. I'd just plug and go.

apparently the USB support is actually spotty at best. just the rumour.
