I thoroughly enjoyed the Apocalypse [Dec. 17th, 2001|12:02 pm]
Roy Janik
Of the three movies we ( and by we I mean James, Rachel, Colleen, hek-tor, Christina, and Nicole) watched at the post-Apocalypse party last night, I think I probably enjoyed Last Night the most. Maybe just because the scenario was something I've always played around with in my head. Plus, in a way, it's got the same overall feeling as "Lord of the Flies" or "Heart of Darkness". The whole world's spiralling towards destruction, and it's totally out of anyone's control. The fact that this appeals to me probably speaks volumes.

Oh, and a question. Does anyone know any 2 player variations of Mahjongg? I'm talking the physical game here, not the computerized one.

I think...

I think real Mah-Jong IS more than solitaire. It's not the "remove same looking tiled piece" game. Why?

Re: I think...

Yeah, real Mah-Jong is a four-player game that I don't understand very well, but when I play it on Yahoo games, I win fairly often.

Re: I think...

Yeah, I bought it as a gift, thinking that it could be two player, but now I realize that it's 4, so I'm looking for variants.

Re: I think...

I will ask Harley for you. He has a set and taught me to play the real game, which I enjoyed, but he may know if there are any 2-player versions. I'll get back to you.
