So I finally got around to doing more work on the Schmalia sketch for Immortal Human Skin Cells. I'm pretty happy with what I've got so far. And if I don't complete it by Wednesday, I owe the Knighthood of BUH 3 drinks. Damn arbitrarily imposed deadlines! I burned what I've got (about 5 minutes) to CD, and listened to it in the car, to try and get a different perspective on it. It's amazing what a difference there is in listening on the computer (and obsessing over every nuance), vs. listening in the car and allowing yourself the chance to just let it soak in. |
Anyhow, to finish the biyatch up, I need to have a recording session either tomorrow, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Hopefully I can get together Ben, Kareem, and someone else.
And then I will have finished something.
Went to the 503 and got coffee avec Nicole, and worked on my project for CS. I'm basically writing my own computer language, and compiling it into Java bytecode on the backend. Fun and challenging stuff. Right now I'm still in the planning stages, but I made a lot of progress tonight. I want to design a language somehow related to security, since that way it would be directly applicable to my work.
I've got some ideas, and I'll flesh them out in a later post as they become more concrete.
