I realize that no one in America gives a rat's ass about the space program except for Wes & I (and NASA, presumably), but huzzah for the Hubble repair mission, which had a successful landing this morning. 5 spacewalks... to upgrade solar cells, repair cooling, replace the camera (making it 10 times more powerful), and to fix power supplies. An insane amount of dangerous work was undertaken in a small amount of time. And now we'll have crisper views of the outer cosmos.

Governor Pakatash will not stand for this!

You homeworlders care nothing for the safety of those of us in the Border Worlds! You spend money on research and telescopes when you could be sending aid to protect us from the tentacled arachnid menace known as the K'zarr! And where is that famed ion blaster we were promised 30 Luna cycles ago?!?

Bah on NASA! and Bah on the Hubble too!
It's only showing me how much more of the universe there is that we are are making no attempt to get to.
"Wow!" They'll say. "Look at this beautiful nebula and all these mineral rich planetoids. It's like heaven! So, think we should go to the moon again? Nah, let's stay in, order a pizza and see what's on Springer."
*discontented grumbling*
No, sadly Britain (Damn you Britain, LET MY PEOPLE GO!!) is the place to be it would seem.
Although, SETI is making some break-throughs. I can't find the link now, but there is also a new code we are going to start pumping into space as soon as we make sure it is easily translatable. Finally, speaking of SETI, I completed my 1000th data packet just this weekend! Huzzah!

all those nebula and galaxi are only beautiful, as you put it, because the hubble engineers color them that way. Its all a scam. Damn red shift...

Re: you know what

I thought they were just compensating for red shift, not adding color. Are you being serious?
