The Devil Went to Down to Tivoli, He was looking for some code to steal. [Mar. 28th, 2002|11:20 am]
Roy Janik
So lately I've been extremely late to work. I usually make up for it by working at absurd hours of the night, and all in all, I work well over my allotted 40 hours. I'm okay with this, as I enjoy what I'm doing right now, but it just makes matters worse in terms of waking up. On Thursdays, however, we have our weekly department meetings at 10:00, and I would prefer to show up to these. Today, I did not, however. This doesn't bode well for my promotion opportunites in May.

But the reason I didn't show up on time today is utterly ridiculous. I got home around 2:00 AM from drinking coffee with Cha-chee, Nicole, and Mindy Leigh. Instead of sleeping, however, I sat down at the computer. I don't know how it started, but I found myself wondering just how many parodies of "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" I could find as mp3s.

2 hours later, I had acquired 10 tracks, 4 of which are actually funny. There were versions with guitars, accordions, marijuana, and chevy trucks. And it was 4:00 in the morning.

I don't even remember the alarm going off.

Damn obsessions...

First, Jet Set Radio Future on the XBox sucked me in until 11:00, then that damn arcade book I bought kept me up until 2:00. Damned obsessions.
