making a move. [May. 20th, 2002|11:37 am]
Roy Janik
Here's the gameplan: Gonna make an offer on "the expensive house". However, we're going to make a fairly aggressive offer. Also, whenever you start making an offer on a house, you've commonly got 10 days to pull out for any reason. So during that time, we're going to keep looking, and if anything better turns up, we'll jump ship.

For those keeping score, here's why the other houses didn't make the cut.

The lovely house on 51st with all the fantastic walls and the hardwood floor didn't make it simply because of its location. I didn't mind that so much, but the fact is that I'll probably me moving in 3 years or so. According to Jason, there simply won't be a return on the investment in the near future.

The house with the adjacent apartment simply requires too much work. It needs central air installed, which is insanely expensive. And the floors need to be replaced, too.

The house with the zen garden and "crow's nest" is in a neighborhood on the decline. Plus, the bedrooms are small.

The house with the inexplicably hot rooms has inexplicably hot rooms with cardboard walls.
