I noticed a few days ago that I was a member of the painiacs community. I'm not sure how that happened, but it's fine by me. So I've added it to my friends list, and then also joined it myself again (to get posting rights). Several years too late, but it's good to see a Pain fan community online.

The first time I heard Pain was on the Lee and Wolfe show, live, hawking Goggins, which they had just released, I think. I heard Milk as I was driving home, and remembered thinking how much I liked it. I didn't know at the time that they were Tuscaloosa natives, as I figured they were just another touring band stopping off at Lee and Wolfe's show on Friday.

I think they sort of epitomize where I'd like to see music go in the future. Fun, happy (mostly), covering a wide variety of topics... just joyful, inspiring stuff. I think more bands today could stand to be storytellers, rather than whiny brats.

Nicole, how's the keyboard coming?
Mindy, how's the pennywhistle coming?
James, how's the bass coming?
