Starting back two weeks ago, on Friday.
Wes, Eric, Jenn and I went to the Nintento Gamecube club, which is this touring temple of geekiness. Basically, Nintendo takes over some empty retail space, sets up 50 or so gamecubes attached to high definition televisions, and invites the public at large to try out games. Watered down club music, free Snapple, free budweiser, scantily clad "booth babes", and a gaggle of geeks. It was strange and sad, all of once, which we all know translates to "hilarious". The highlight of the experience was playing Metroid Prime. I had no idea what I was doing, and eventually just threw up my arms and said "Anyone got a clue". In two shakes of a lamb's tail this guy leaned in and explained some maneuver to me in a little too much detail and with a little too much enthusiasm. "okay...". Lickity-split, this lady leans in and says "Don't feel bad, he's one of the developers".
Ugh, my eyes hurt, so I'll continue this later. Up next is Colleen's graduation party, which took place later that night. I'm so behind.
