Thanksgiving Wrapup [Nov. 24th, 2000|12:25 am]
Roy Janik
Well, Thanksgiving turned out to be quite enjoyable. I talked to Wes in the morning, and he informed me that James, Sarah, he, and some random chick (Kat) from Buh were going to come over to my apartment for Thanksgiving. This sounded good, but it meant that I had to clean the apartment. Now the apartment was actually mostly clean, but the counters, floors, cat litter, etc. all needed SERIOUS work. So I went to Randall's, loaded up on disinfectants, and went to town. Now the apartment is finally *clean*. I also moved the cat litter box into a cabinet in the bathroom, which affords the cats some privacy. The food I moved into the kitchen. I'm surprised I didn't think of this before.

So as part of a tradition (started by Comedy Central) I watched MST3K episodes today. I was about half-way through "Prince of Space" when James, Kat, and Wes showed up. It turned out that Kat actually liked MST3K (but still didn't know the details), so all was cool. After "Prince of Space" we watched "Puma-man" and everyone agreed that it was one of the best MST3K episodes (Pu-ma-man, he flies like a moron!). At some point, we heated up a combination of Thanksgiving leftovers from Sarah's family and stuff that Wes cooked (ham rolls, pies, etc). After Puma-man we went in search of alcohol. After a long quest, we ended up at a gas station and loaded up. We came back and watched Mitchell, well equipped to handle the nightmare that is Jo Don Baker. Actually, I had one Fuzzy Navel wine cooler. It didn't sit well at all, so I gave up on alcohol for the night. Everyone else, however, did some serious damage. :)

To make a long story short (too late), a good time was had by all.
