Furthermore, the Moonbase got a healthy dose of cleaning. I finally took the bag of old clothing in the living room to a donatation bin, for starters. Also, I've been meaning to get rid of some books for a while, so I went through my books and painfully parted with a couple of boxes of them. Dave and Kristin went off on a quest to donate/sell them, since I didn't want to know where they ended up. Their adventure wound up taking over 4 hours, which gave me plenty of time to clean on my own. The kitchen, the living room, and the yellow room are all now fairly clean.
Here's what I estimate has to happen to "kick it up a knotch":
* rake the leaves
* clean the fridge
* clean my room. Unfortunately, my room receives the brunt of excess stuff from other rooms whenever I clean.
* mop the floors
* clink the dishes, crack the plates.
* find a mower; mow
* clean the bathroom, including tub
* make sense of the junk in the other bookshelf
*reorganize the "dining" room
... and much, much more
