This past Friday Kristin, Dave, Jin-Young, Jeremy (from that one game night, remember?), George and I went to see the Asylum Street Spankers play at the Parish Room above the Jazz Kitchen. We got there late, but brazenly (with the encouragement of Whammo) sat down in front of the front row of seats. So we were very close to the stage.

Opening for the Spankers was the very funny Matt the Electrician, who sang amusing and occasionally heartfelt songs. Anyhow, at some point he asked if anyone knew how to beatbox, and Kristin blurted out that I beatbox all the time. Which is true, I guess. So to make a long story short, I wound up beatboxin' on stage in front of, oh, a few hundred people.

So in a way I opened for the Asylum Street Spankers.

cool.
