Today was/is/shall ever be fantastic. I went on a walking tour of lots of cool old stuff with my manager and the other IBMer. We hit the Colloseum, the Forum, some big old hill where the emporer used to live, the senate, and everything else. My partners didn't want to actually wait in line to get into the Colleseum, though, so we just looked at the outside. I took lots of pictures, which are uploading right now.

After going to the Pantheon (temple/church) my companions were pooped, so they got a taxi. I decided to walk back myself, planning on going straight to the hotel. But I got distracted. First I saw a massive obelisk. Then I went to a gigantic museum/really impressive structure. Then I went to another museum that had a Degas exhibit. Turns out he painted things other than ballerinas, but he did like them A LOT. My favorite painting of his was "Young Woman and Ibis."

I then headed back to the Colleseum and went in on my own. I took a video there, which should be at the end of the gallery. Check it out.

So great times. Also, I made a point to make sure I got in a good number of pictures. I know that looking at scenery, no matter how impressive, is pretty dull unless you were there.

Oh, and you'll see lots of pictures of the Ford Ka, as well. I've decided I want one. I hear they sell them in Mexico, so it shouldn't be hard to import, right?

Hope you're all doing splendidly.

They may actually be bringing the Ka to the US, under a different name. They even sell super-souped-up versions of them, at least in England.

That's really cool. Unfortunatley, it looks like I'll have to learn to drive a stick if I want one. Also, only the basic model seems to have the two tone look to it that I really like, so it's a tough call.

Oh, and some enterprising company is getting ready to sell Smart Cars in the US.

Almost guarantee you that if they bring them to the US they will have an automatic.

Also someone in Germany told me that Mercedes made the Smart Car. I still fear that I'd have to detach my legs to fit in one.

Smart's a brand of DaimesChrysler, which also owns Mercedes, so yeah, they're related... Jeep, Dodge, and Chrysler, too.
