Behold my amazing powers of productivity! Where once there was only one working lightbulb in the bathroom, there are now three! *gasp*. I did this all by myself last night.

I really want to call in sick today, but I imagine I will be heading into work momentarily. That being said, I have felt mildly ill all weekend, and my stomach is still pretty queasy today.

How is Roy doing, anyhow? Honestly, it's hard to know. Should it bother me that I can't tell you how I'm doing? Here's a rapid-fire list of current thoughts... unclosed loops for all you GTD geeks out there:

negative: I could stand to lose some weight. I don't feel that bad about my appearance these days, but I'm not really happy unless I'm somewhere around 165.
positive: I think I've made some real progress on the ukulele, and I'm actually looking forward to trying to perform publicly soon.
negative: I could use some companionship of the womanly persuasion.
positive: Maestro went well, and the Hoover's Blanket show this Friday is shaping up nicely.
negative: My budgeting hasn't been very good for the past 2 weeks.
positive: I'm making a lot of new friends and acquaintances through the magical world of improv. S'nice.
negative: work.
positive: the troupe (to be named) is finally taking shape, and everyone seems excited about it. It'll start going full-steam after this Friday.
positive: I'm running myself into the ground trying to do things I find interesting.
negative: I'm running myself into the ground trying to do things I find interesting.

Here's to that, man.

But seriously, we need to take a road trip soon and unwind.

If NY weren't a 2 day (each way!) trip, I'd consider it.

Plus, I was in NY 3 months ago. I've got a lot of other places to see.

I found out I have enough time to take off a total of two weeks in Novemeber if my supervisor approves -- combo of paid vac days and bank holidays. I want to go to San Francisco and am even considering going by myself. I don't !@%$# care!
I'm excited.

Dear Roy,

I know you didn't ask for it, but here is some chicken stuff to cheer you up.

Bon Appetite!

When I saw the picture, my first thought was, "He started making the robot pirate monkey light!"

Just out of curiosity, I think I'll go to Radio Shack tomorrow at lunch and look around at what they have to offer, lighting wise.

At least you don't have my problem, which is being too lazy to even start doing anything I find interesting. So if you could just send me part of your motivation, I'll send you part of my sittin' around.

I cannot wait for the troupe (to be named) to take shape...that is the one highpoint of life I am looking forward too. That, and the Hoover's Blanket show this weekend. Seriously though The Troupe To Be Named...that's a good name for a troupe...I'll have to write that down somewhere.

Keep it up with the productivity, and lemme know when your first public uke performance will be, I'd love to be there and support you.

The light bulbs don't match!...or are they supposed to be like that?...I guess it doesn't really matter.

The positives seem to outway the negatives...for the most part.
