So instead of making a new comic last night, I hashed out a rough plot outline and worked on some character sketches. I'm going to go ahead and call that acceptable for my productivity checkbox, because I'm woefully behind. I'm about three entries of writing behind, 1 uke recording behind, and 1 moonbase cleaning/rennovation behind. I would've recorded a ukulele song last night, but I have no fingernails. The reason I have no fingernails is because they will damage the new concertina's veneer. If they're too long they also somewhat interfere with my ability to play the concertina.
This is something of a problem. I need fingernails to play the ukulele, and I need short fingernails to play the concertina without damagig it. I've tried using a pick for the ukulele, but it ain't the same.
Regardless, tonight I will knock out a uke recording of some sort, and get moonbase productivity out of the way. And then through the course of this week I'll catch up on writing.
Actually, eh, who wants to go to work that early anyhow? Here's a recording of the Kerry Polka, on both uke and concertina, using a little multi-tracking magic:
Kerry Polka, uke and concertina, mp3
The reason it's so slow is because that's all I could pull off on the uke at the moment.
