Last night I came home to a 6-part treasure hunt that ultimately led me to delicious ice cream.  I think I have Valerie and Kareem to thank for this here booty, so thanks!

Also, Opera is now permanently free. So get it. Someone asked why it's better than Firefox. Honestly, I'm not sure if I can explain it. It just feels better to me, probably because it's what I'm used to. But it does have superior tabbed browsing support. It has true zooming, so you can zoom in on an entire webpage. The way it handles transfer is a lot cleaner. And its interface for RSS feeds is actually pretty cool. I didn't care for Firefox's. The only annoying thing about Opera is that it's under most web developers' radar. So some websites will exclude Opera from accessing its content, and a lot of new-fangle AJAXified websites either only work partially or don't work at all. That being said, it's still my browser of choice. If something doesn't work, I switch to Firefox.

I love the idea of a treasure hunt that ends with gorging yourself.

Does Opera have an accompanying e-mail client? If so, is it also worth a toot?

It does, and it's actually quite cool. It's based off a database design, which means that searching your messages is really fast. Instead of folders, you create 'views' of your messages, which are basically saved searches. I think this might be similiar to G-mail.

That being said, I haven't used it much, and not at all lately. I just prefer having my e-mail program separate from my browser.

glad you found your booty. How sad the world would be without it. Did you get all the clues? Did you have as much fun finding it as we had hiding it? I wish I had been tech-savvy enought to set up your webcam to record the hunt.

He called me to see if we were still hanging out, and he though that the first map was a map to Curras. I had to tell him to read it, and asked him who would captain the Moonbase if it were, in fact, a pirate vessel.

He tried to get more clues out of me after that but I didn't budge.

yeah, I got all the clues. The one that gave me the most trouble was the clue in the 'galley'. Didn't think to look in the cabinet for some reason.

Pirate Pumpkin

Guess what I saw at Target the other day! A Mr. Pumpkin Head Pirate. I thought of you and had to bring it home.
