I have a lot of work to do... defects piling up and whatnot.
So naturally I made a flyer for our new show:
I can't help it. I'm so proud of us. Parallelogramophonograph is a week away from being a year old. And we've had a pretty good run of it. And now with our own weekly show at Coldtowne, we're hitting a whole new stride. Next year will bring festivals, higher concept shows, and who knows what else. I can't wait.
oh jesus, that's a santa fe high school letter jacket, my god, i never thought i'd see one of those again. i'll be cringing all day, thanks. santa fe, texas; yes, there's a santa fe in texas. oh holy mother of god. ::shudder::
Santa Fe is in New Mexico
yeah, there's one in new mexico and one in texas, weird that the jackets look exactly the same!
the santa fe in texas is this tiny little country town where the grand dragon of the KKK lived for a long time and also where a little over five years ago the state made a case against the high school for broadcasting christian prayers over the loudspeaker before the start of every football game. it's also where i graduated.
sorry i ass-u-me-d. :P
Santa Fe is a saint and not a city. You must be mistaken.
"santa fe" means "holy faith" and i lived in some city that shared the name for a while, that's all i know.
Yep, I graduated in 1995. It's my jacket that Wes is wearing.
from the one in new mexico or the one in texas???
anyway, the picture's fabulous, i can't wait to catch the show. as it turns out, my boyfriend Tony told me he'd heard of this show two blocks away from our house on 49th Street and said he wanted to go see it, "we can walk there!" he said. and lo and behold, it's parallelogramophonograph. austin is a tiny, tiny city sometimes. :)
its been nice sitting back watching the progress of youse guys! proud of you and roy boy!
this is definitely my favorite of the two pics I've seen of this show... Kareem writing "poop" makes it magical. magical favorite.
1 - WHO does your photography? It is so much fun!!!
2 - GREAT flyer. I swear - If Ben and I ever get to Austin for some reason, we're coming to a show.
