I am developing a plan called Project 30.

I turn 30 on April 14, 2007. The goal of Project 30 is to be in the best physical shape of my life by the time I turn 30. Given roughly 6 months to do this, I think it's entirely possible, provided I get cracking.

I don't have all the details laid out yet, but the focus will be on losing weight and building up muscle. I'll be tracking it all online, including how much I weigh, what I've eaten, and so forth. I also plan on taking a picture of myself every day until my birthday, but I probably will wait to post that as one big animation type deal.

Details will be forthcoming, but the plan will be divided into specific phases: intense weightloss, running, general health, and so forth.

Towards the general health goal, I have an appointment at the dentist next week to get my baby tooth fitted for a crown.

Also, today is one of those days that I am overwhelmed with love for my girl.

Well this is what I used to get started. Its the first 8 weeks of a year long program and a damn good introduction to toning/building muscle. I'm down four pants sizes in only two months and I can run without a hitch normally to boot. Hope thats helpful.

Ooh. That's exactly the kind of "do this, then this, dumbass" instruction I need to kick my ass into exercising again. Think I'll give it a try. Neat!

It works. A bit of angst and anguish as motivation didn't hurt either...in a sense.

2 years ago, my angst and motivation took the form of eating very little (basically nothing) for 2 weeks, while continuing to run 4+ miles everyday.

I actually look back on those times fondly.

i really good way to kick this off would be to detox for two weeks...nothing but raw veggies and raw fruits for two weeks...the first few days you fill like crap, sorta flu like, mostly because all the toxins start coming out of your system, however, afterwards youll feel like a million bucks and then being on a diet will be like a buffet!

Yeah, you know... I've been thinking about this too. I turn 30 a few weeks after you do on May 3. I'm down 7 pounds in 2 months. I need to start really focusing in on it and really trying too.

Good luck to you, I hope that I do not recognize you the next time I see you. =)

Speaking of seeing you... I know you went to faire already... if you care to wander around a second time I'll be up there on the 19th. Did I tell you this already? I'm losing my mind.
