Roy Janik
Today was my first day in Santa Fe since my dad's birthday in September. It was surreal. I had stayed up all night, due to packing, programming, and general insomnia. Around 5, I decided to just say fuck it, and leave for Santa Fe. So of course I didn't make it out until 6:04.

The drive was hellish. Traffic was light, but I was tired as fuck. Big surprise. Turns out it's much harder to stay awake on a long trip if you're alone in the car. I managed to survive, though, thanks primarily to Bjork's Homogenic, which I had woefully underappreciated until this trip. Unravel, 5 years, and All is Full of Love nearly ripped me apart. In a good way. All is Full of Love is currently my favorite song, bar none. I'm sure this will change in two days or so. :)

I stopped in LaGrange, bought some kolaches and a hat that says "We Gotchya Kolache". Ah, Czech humor.

I had to stop at a rest area to sleep for an hour, I was so tired.

Eventually, however, I arrived at Bobby and Roger's (my brothers) at around 10:30, only to find them both gone.

love me some bjork.

that cd is wonderful! especially for driving when the sun is either coming up or going down. unravel is one of the ones i have to skip most of the time, as it hits too close to home right now to keep me from running off the road. i like bachelorette (is that the one right after unravel?).
