This is the 2nd week in a row that someone in our audience asked us after the show "So how much of that was scripted?" or something like that. I always really appreciate that. Part of it is them just being new to improv, but still, it means that we did well enough to put some doubt in their mind that it was all made up.
And I'm proud of the show we did last night. More so than normal, I think, we all made strong character choices and stuck with them. It was also the first time in a while that we've done a more-or-less "no rules" narrative show that didn't go into ludicrous territory (ghosts, killer rabbits, etc...). Plus, of course, there was Kaci's return. She didn't play a German, but she did wind up getting mistaken for a Nazi.
I don't know if it's a fluke or whatever, but for the past 5 weeks we've had good crowds, too... made up of a wide variety of people. Let's hope that continues.
Tonight, a Dark Bloodlords subset has 2 20 minute shows at BookPeople's Harry Potter book release. I have no idea how that'll go, but I'm definitely looking forward to it.
