Last night there were three classes being taught at The Hideout: Level 1, which just started... Level 2, which is about halfway through, and our Creating Meaningful Moments class, which wound up with 10 students! At my prodding, all the students in all the classes were encouraged to hang out afterwards at The Dog and Duck pub. All in all, about 20 people or so went. We hung out, talked improv theory, and drank. It reminded me strongly of the days when I was first getting into improv, and half my inspiration came from the talks and drinks after shows and classes.

It felt good.

I miss those days. I don't end up performing as often as I once did, nobody seems to want to hang out after a show, and if I'm with Mo she'll want to head home immediately. I guess that's part of why I don't come out for Micetro - there's no beer and conversation after the show, so why bother?

Awesome - the community forming in and around the classes is what keeps this thing going. Besides, its big fun :)
