Hung out with Cha-chee, Mynde, and Wes last night. We went to Opal Divine's, chatted with Jared a bit, played some darts. AC/DC was playing on the jukebox the entire time. We went to Katz's (which never kloses) next, and were served by a really goofy (but nice) waiter. My vegetable hero sandwich was so full of broccoli that it was impossible to close, but once it had been trimmed, it was quite nice.|
After Katz's we journeyed to Mynde's place, where we were introduced to the wonder of a certain band called the Aquabats. This was only fair, as any time either of them are in my car, I am sure to play Pain, to try and spread the joy.
We played a game called Cranium, which turned out to be a hell of a lot of fun. Maybe the alcohol helped. Depending on what color square you land on, you have to spell, answer trivia, sculpt, draw stuff (ala Pictionary), play charades, or do other assorted things. It was a close battle, but Mynde and I ended up beating Cha-chee and Wes. The best coup of the night came when Mynde drew a crooked line, and I guessed "Leaning Tower of Piza", and was right. All I knew was that it was a "place".
After the stunning victory at Cranium, we all journeyed upstairs to play Puzzle Bobble (Bust a Move 4) on Mynde's computer. Mynde and I played against each other. She won the first battle (3 out of 5 matches). I won the second. By the third battle, we both got into the groove, and our first match lasted, I kid you not, 20 minutes. We called it a draw, and gave up.
Good night, good friends, and good times.
Well, I'm off to find a fogless mirror.
I've been hearing good things about the Aquabats for years, and have been encouraged repeatedly to listen to them, but never have...I guess by your stating "the wonder of a certain band" that you like them..I guess someday I'll get around to catching up with the rest of the world's musical interests.

Funny what people focus on...
I mean, everyone talks about this cool band of weirdos who wear disguises by day and dress like superheroes by night while they play their ska music and treat their audience like they are 10 year olds watching a Howdy Doody episode. But not one of these repsonses, not one, mentioned that you needed a fogless mirror. Or that we ate a restaurant that never Kloses! Now that's insanity!
