"lost or stolen glasses are not covered under this replacement plan" [Feb. 22nd, 2001|09:35 am]
Roy Janik
damn damn damn damn.

Who (with more fashion sense than I) wants to come with me to help me pick out new glasses and to hold my hand while I shell out 200 plus dollars to pay for a stupid mistake? Thank God I work for the man.

That sucks. Those were pretty nifty glasses. I'd suggest just getting the same pair again...But this time duct-tape them to your head.

Call the venue?

Just go buy some cheap ones at Randalls that look similar and smash them beyond recognition and then take them in in a matchbox and say that you were stuck on a desert Island with some friends and they had to use your glasses to make "the fire" until they got crushed by a rock. Then tell them that if you don't have new glasses for free (because the only thing of any value you have is a dusty conch shell), and within one hour so you can get back to the island then your friends are going to die or at the very least vote off your only protector over that silly boar hunting debacle. There's no way they could turn you down.

Re: Call the venue?

Okay, so you're a smart one, I'll give you that.
I called the Austin Music Hall, and they have a lost and found. There are no guarranties, but at the very least, I hopefully can find a pair of smashed up glasses, and get them replaced. And what are you doing surfing the internet at work? You're getting bold, my friend.
